NC group offers cat rescue, cat adoption, spay and neuter programs, and TNR (trap-neuter-return) for feral cats. Rags to Riches also offers assistance to other animals on a case-to-case basis. We are a No-Kill shelter.
Rags to Riches Cat Rescue is a NC non-profit corporation and 501©3 granted by the IRS Code. All donations made to our organization are tax deductible.
We receive no government funds and are funded completely by donations. Our cat rescue was established in Warren County, North Carolina in 2007 to provide animals shelter, care and a forever home.
Educational Programs
The cat rescue group supplies informational articles on spay and neuter, adoptions, and cruelty to animals for Warren County area newspapers and thru our website.
Pet Adoption Program
Cat adoptions and dog adoptions are made to homes in Warren County, North Carolina and other areas where a qualified home is found. All animals are spayed or neutered before being adopted out in an effort to reduce the number of unwanted pets in our community.
Funding for this program comes from private donations, fund raising, and adoption fees.
C.A.R.E (Companion Animal Resource Effort)
This program provides food for cats to senior citizens on limited income. Assistance, when possible, is given to help the person keep their animal in their home, out of an animal shelter, and off the streets.
DONATIONS
Rags to Riches accepts any and all donations. Donations are used to offset costs of spaying/neutering and vaccinating rescued animals, run classified ads for our adoptions, as well as covering operational costs and educational programs.
Is Your Cat Safe?
A safe cat is an indoor cat. If your cat is allowed outside it could become lost, run over, shot, stolen or poisoned. Also, the chances of being exposed to fleas, ticks and diseases increases.
A cat that has never been outside will have no desire to go out.
